Castle has a reflective tone on his anthemic genre bending earworm. California Country, Pop, and Classic Rock are blended to create what he calls “hopeful heartbreak.” The song is about looking back on a relationship that has fallen apart and musing as to how after fighting so hard for their love, now it’s just a memory, and they are nothing more than strangers again.
